Refunds & Returns

Changed your mind? Happens.
You’ve got 30 days to return your order.
You cover return postage, we handle the refund.

At Small Statements, we keep things straightforward. If something’s not quite right, here’s how returns work.

  1. Returns Window
    • Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving your order, in line with UK distance selling regulations.
    • Items must be:
      • Unworn and unwashed
      • In original condition
      • With tags and original packaging where possible
    • If an item comes back worn, damaged, or clearly loved a bit too much, we may not be able to issue a refund.
  2. How to Arrange a Return
    • To start a return, email hello@smallstatements.co.uk with:
      • Your full name
      • Order number
      • The item(s) you wish to return
      • A brief reason for the return
    • We’ll reply with return instructions as soon as possible.
  3. Return Postage
    • Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
    • We strongly recommend using a tracked service and keeping proof of postage.
    • Small Statements can’t be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.
  4. Refunds
    • Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll let you know if it’s approved.
    • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
    • Your bank or card provider may take a few working days to process the refund.
  5. Exchanges
    • We don’t currently offer direct exchanges.
    • If you’d like a different size or design, simply:
      • Return your original item for a refund
      • Place a new order for the replacement
    • It keeps things quicker and stock levels accurate.
  6. Faulty or Incorrect Items
    • If you receive an item that’s faulty or not what you ordered, email hello@smallstatements.co.uk within 30 days, including:
      • Your order number
      • A description of the issue
      • Clear photos showing the fault or error
    • If confirmed, we’ll cover reasonable return postage costs and offer either a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund.
  7. Non-Returnable Items
    • For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items may not be eligible for return. Where this applies, it will be clearly stated on the product page.
  8. Your Rights
    • Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
