At Small Statements, we keep things straightforward. If something’s not quite right, here’s how returns work.
- Returns Window
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving your order, in line with UK distance selling regulations.
- Items must be:
- Unworn and unwashed
- In original condition
- With tags and original packaging where possible
- If an item comes back worn, damaged, or clearly loved a bit too much, we may not be able to issue a refund.
- How to Arrange a Return
- To start a return, email hello@smallstatements.co.uk with:
- Your full name
- Order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- A brief reason for the return
- We’ll reply with return instructions as soon as possible.

- Return Postage
- Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
- We strongly recommend using a tracked service and keeping proof of postage.
- Small Statements can’t be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.
- Refunds
- Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll let you know if it’s approved.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Your bank or card provider may take a few working days to process the refund.
- Exchanges
- We don’t currently offer direct exchanges.
- If you’d like a different size or design, simply:
- Return your original item for a refund
- Place a new order for the replacement
- It keeps things quicker and stock levels accurate.
- Faulty or Incorrect Items
- If you receive an item that’s faulty or not what you ordered, email hello@smallstatements.co.uk within 30 days, including:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos showing the fault or error
- If confirmed, we’ll cover reasonable return postage costs and offer either a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund.

- Non-Returnable Items
- For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items may not be eligible for return. Where this applies, it will be clearly stated on the product page.
- Your Rights
- Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
